【Taipei】The World Class IT Product Design Manufacturer MSI Technology will be introducing the ECO Energy-Conserving Operation Lap-Top Computer System at the CES Global Consumer’s Expo for the very first time on the 7th.It is the leading technology in energy-saving; expected to generate great interests from many different fields. There will be a variety of concept notebook computers presented simultaneously; all focused on environmental and fashionable designs that will surely capture the focus and attention of the expo.

「Environmental consciousness has been a growing concern, developing energy-saving and low pollution products in order to reduce damage and contamination is now the common goal of the electronics industry」. The ECO Notebook Computer System has three major objectives which includes Green Design, Green Resource, and Green Technology.

MSI Green Design- Applying the Most Environmentally Conscious Designs

In regards of MSI's Green Design Ideology, we follow the principles of the「3R」, which are Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse. Aiming at saving the usage of raw materials, lowering the emission of harmful chemicals, and elevating the recycle and reused possibility of our parts. Designing light and thin NB products that are sufficient while lowering the damages and pollutions to the environment.

MSI has met all the latest WEEE Safety Regulations of the European Union on our NB Line. The designs were mapped out with environmentally friendly concepts, and reached all of the safety measures by WEEE requirements in electronic discharge that can be harmful to our surrounding. Promoting recycled parts to be reused in aim of lowering waste.

MSI Green Resource- Abiding the Highest International Standards

MSI understands that harmful materials might be used in the production process, and they may present heavy tolls on the environment. In order to abide the latest European Union's laws in environmental safety of RoHS, all six harmful materials have been banned, which include led, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ether, and such. Other than merely following the RoHS Guidelines, we also set our goals in lowering all usage of materials that are harmful to the human body, in order to provide the healthiest and safest condition for all of our consumers.

MSI Green Technology- Providing the Best Energy-Saving Options

Following the global wave of Environmental Consciousness, the Green Technology became a must for MSI. Our Notebook Computers developed the exclusive「Turbo Battery」feature to meet the needs of energy-saving, achieving the capability of lowering 20% of the power used comparing to conventional lap-top computers on average. This feature will be incorporated to different series of our notebook computers in 2008. When the computer is running on「Turbo Battery」mode, the system will judge by the current workload and automatically adjust to power usage to its minimum, so the battery can provide a longer operating span.

The hand rest for the keyboard of one of the computers is made by real wood and leather presenting a different image as oppose to traditional notebook computers. Adding a sense of softness and warmth, expressing a presence of uniqueness and individuality.

Furthermore, MSI's Crystal series is especially designed with 3000 SWAROVSKI diamonds to be displayed at CES, also featuring another special hand rest design adding new concepts to beauty in technology.
